Golden Knights Morning Skate: Marner's Streak, Stone's Record Chase, and a Wall of Milestones in Boston
Vegas opens a four-game East Coast trip at TD Garden on Monday (4 p.m. PT) carrying more than a 9-5-1 record: Mitch Marner rides a nine-game point streak, Mark Stone sits five points from the franchise scoring lead, and three teammates stand one step from career milestones.

The Golden Knights' four-game East Coast road trip opens Monday at 4 p.m. Pacific against the Boston Bruins at TD Garden, carried on Scripps Sports and KnightTime+, and the team's official morning skate report reads like a milestone ledger. Vegas (9-5-1) faces a Boston team that is 10-4-1, first in the Atlantic Division, and coming off a 5-4 overtime win over Chicago on Halloween. A Vegas victory would be the 411th in franchise history and would even the all-time series with Boston at 8-8-1, according to the team.
The individual chases stack up quickly. Mitch Marner holds a nine-game point streak, tied for the second-longest in the league, and needs five points for 100 as a Golden Knight. Captain Mark Stone, with 17 points on nine goals and eight assists, is five points away from becoming the franchise's all-time scoring leader. Jack Eichel leads the team with 20 points. On the blue line, Brayden McNabb — who played his 900th NHL game on Friday — is one point away from 200 in his career; Jeremy Lauzon is one game away from 400 NHL games; and Shea Theodore is four games away from 600 games as a Golden Knight.
The team numbers explain the optimism, and Friday explains the urgency. Vegas is tied for second in the NHL with 17 first-period goals and ranks sixth with 437 shots on goal — but the trip starts three days after a 5-2 Nevada Day home loss to New Jersey, in which the Knights led 2-1 in the first period and gave up the next four. Boston's counter is its goaltending: Michael DiPietro (.929) and Jeremy Swayman (.912) both sit among the league leaders in save percentage, and David Pastrnak leads the Bruins with 19 points. Head coach Ryan Craig, in remarks carried by the team site on Saturday, framed the fix as a mindset to check and a commitment to close — Monday in Boston is the first test of both.
