Nevada's Largest DMV Is in Las Vegas: the Silverado Facility's 75 Counters and After-Hours Kiosks Enter Their First Full Week
The Henderson DMV that valley drivers knew since 1997 is gone, folded into a 72,619-square-foot Silverado complex that pairs the main office with commercial licensing under one roof — and keeps six kiosks working after the counters close.

The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles' Silverado facility, which opened to the public on Monday, October 26, is the largest DMV facility in Nevada, according to the department's announcement read in full by the desk. The 72,619-square-foot complex houses both the DMV's main office and its Commercial Driver License operations, and it replaces the Henderson DMV office — an 18,540-square-foot building that dated to 1997 — with the Henderson and Donovan offices consolidated into the new site. After a Nevada Day closure on Friday and Saturday, the department's offices resumed normal operations on Monday, November 2, putting Silverado into its first full week.
The scale is the story. The main building runs 60 customer service counters with 301 parking spaces, and the separate commercial building adds 15 service counters, five Motor Carrier Division counters and a full-size commercial driving test course, with parking for 42 passenger vehicles and 16 semi-trucks. For Southern Nevada's trucking and trades economy, that puts the tests, the carrier counters and the paperwork in one stop instead of a split between offices.
The other change runs after hours. The complex carries six self-service kiosks — two drive-through and four exterior walk-up units that customers can use outside regular business hours — a design the department says is meant to improve service through expanded capacity, accessibility upgrades and modernized infrastructure as Southern Nevada keeps growing. For valley drivers, the practical upshot is simple: the office many of them used for nearly three decades no longer exists, and its replacement is built to be visited at midnight as readily as at noon.
