Two Clutches and Several Punctures Later, the Road2SEMA Convoy Has Rolled Into Las Vegas After 3,500 Miles

Most SEMA Show cars arrive in trailers. These seven drove: a British convoy of UK-built show vehicles crossed America from Miami, through Southern California, and into Las Vegas on Monday — with the breakdowns to prove the miles were real.

Two Clutches and Several Punctures Later, the Road2SEMA Convoy Has Rolled Into Las Vegas After 3,500 Miles (Las Vegas Strip News)

The Road2SEMA crew has made it to Las Vegas. The British convoy — seven UK-built show vehicles and two support vehicles, with their builders, owners and content creators aboard — completed a 3,500-mile drive from Miami on Monday, according to its arrival announcement read in full by the desk. The trip ran through Southern California before the final run to Las Vegas, and it was not a clean one: the convoy replaced two clutches and fixed several punctures along the way.

The rally, organized by Ciro Ciampi and Petrolheadonism, stopped at Gas Monkey Garage in Dallas at the halfway point — described in the announcement as the crew's natural habitat — and the whole crossing was documented by a traveling media crew for a four-part series on the DRIVEN platform. The drive also raises support for Make-A-Wish America, with donation information carried on the event's website.

Now the road gives way to the show floor. The 2026 SEMA Show runs November 3 to 6 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, and the convoy's cars arrive with stories attached: the carVertical BMW Z3 M Coupe will be revealed on the EBC Brakes stand carrying rather more real-world mileage than the average show build, and on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. the Aces stand hosts the reveal of the screen-used Chevrolet Camaro from 2 Fast 2 Furious, rebuilt by content creator Sam Hard. In a hall full of trailer queens, the cars that drove here start the week with the best provenance.
