NFL Scores: Week 8 Sunday Finals — Lions Hand the Vikings Their First Loss, Bengals-Titans Makes Scorigami, Jaguars Rout the Colts 42-7
The Raiders' 38-33 win at the Jets was only one line of a wild Sunday. Detroit beat Minnesota 19-15 to end the league's last unbeaten start, Cincinnati and Tennessee produced a never-before-seen 43-36 overtime final, Jacksonville buried Indianapolis 42-7, and Pittsburgh took sole possession of the AFC North.

Start with the unbeaten team that no longer is. The Detroit Lions beat the Minnesota Vikings 19-15 at Ford Field, handing Minnesota its first loss of the season after a 6-0 start — Jared Goff overcame his first interception of the season to lead a seven-play, four-minute fourth-quarter drive that ended with the go-ahead touchdown pass to Jameson Williams. Detroit is 5-2, one game behind the Vikings in the NFC North. In Cincinnati, the Bengals beat the Titans 43-36 in overtime in a final score that has never happened before in NFL history — a Scorigami, the 1,098th unique final score the league has produced.
The blowouts were just as loud. Jacksonville routed Indianapolis 42-7, building a 28-0 halftime lead highlighted by a Daniel Jones interception returned for a touchdown; Trevor Lawrence threw for 210 yards and three touchdowns, Bhayshul Tuten ran for 104 yards with 55 receiving yards and two scores, and Jones finished 19-of-28 for 144 yards with two interceptions before Anthony Richardson made his season debut in the fourth quarter. Buffalo beat Baltimore 36-10 in a game the Ravens lost both quarterbacks — Lamar Jackson (thumb) and Tyler Huntley (toe) both exited — and Pittsburgh beat Cleveland 27-6 behind 200 rushing yards and eight sacks to take sole possession of the AFC North lead heading into its bye.
The rest of the Sunday board: Tampa Bay shut out Atlanta 16-0 in a game Baker Mayfield finished 0-for-3 passing — the first team win without a completion since Buffalo in 1974; Arizona beat Dallas 33-30 in overtime; New England came back to beat Miami 24-19; and the Rams beat the Chargers 24-9 in the afternoon window. Las Vegas's own line on that board — Raiders 38, Jets 33 — is filed in full elsewhere on this site, and Denver's 28-24 win over Kansas City, which moved the Broncos into first in the Raiders' division, leads the station's AFC West file from Sunday evening.
