NHRA Las Vegas Nationals Results: Justin Bond Wins the Winner-Take-All Pro Mod Final and the Championship, and the Wind Pushes the Rest to Monday
The Pro Mod season ended exactly as the bracket promised: Justin Bond beat Mike Stavrinos 5.660 to 5.791 in a winner-take-all final at The Strip to take both the Las Vegas Nationals win and the 2026 series championship. Jeff Adkinson won Stock, Toby Payne earned his first Wally in Super Comp — and then the desert wind ended Sunday early, with seven class finals carried to Monday morning.

Justin Bond is the 2026 NHRA Pro Mod champion, and he took the title the hard way. The class championship came down to a winner-take-all final at the NHRA Las Vegas Nationals, and Bond beat Mike Stavrinos with a 5.660-second pass at 253 mph — low elapsed time of the event — against Stavrinos's troubled 5.791 at 230. Stavrinos had the better reaction time, .070 to Bond's .114, but could not hold off the quicker car downtrack. Bond leaves The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with the event win and the series championship in the same run.
Two sportsman finals were also settled. Jeff Adkinson won Stock Eliminator, running 9.437 on a 9.42 dial to beat Justin Lamb's 9.625 on a 9.59, and the victory moved Adkinson into second place in the national standings, 10 points behind leader Hidalgo with work still to do in the closing weeks. In Super Comp, Toby Payne ran 9.086 against Blu Hayball's 9.196 to earn his first national-event Wally.
Then the weather took the rest of the day. The results file describes a Sunday of unusually cool temperatures and wild winds at The Strip, and as conditions deteriorated NHRA pulled the plug on the remaining on-track action. The final rounds are still outstanding in Top Alcohol Dragster, Top Alcohol Funny Car, Top Dragster, Top Sportsman, Comp, Super Stock and Super Gas, along with the semifinals and finals of the Summit ET National Championship in all four classes. Action resumes Monday morning to conclude the Nationals — and the desk will file the completed results when they are official.
