Getting to the Polls in Las Vegas on Election Day: Free RTC Buses, a Half-Price Lyft Code, and a Vote Center Inside Allegiant Stadium
No ride is no excuse on Tuesday. RTC buses and paratransit run free all day, Lyft's VOTE26 code halves one ride, a foundation is covering rideshare fares in Las Vegas — and the Raiders' stadium is a vote center again.

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada is making its buses free on Election Day: RTC RIDE and RTC ACCESS, the paratransit service, both run fare-free on Tuesday, November 3, according to the commission's announcement — a standing Election Day practice meant to remove transportation from the list of reasons a registered voter stays home. Any Clark County voter can use any of the county's 136 vote centers, so the nearest bus route is the only planning a transit voter needs.
The apps are helping too. Lyft is offering 50 percent off one eligible ride on November 3 with the code VOTE26, worth up to $10, usable from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. local time, according to The Nevadan's Election Day transportation guide read in full by the desk. In Las Vegas, the Vote To Live Foundation's Rides To Vote program is offering roughly $25 to $30 in rideshare assistance through Election Day, with ride details or a code sent by text after sign-up; the guide notes availability is limited by geography and capacity, so voters who need it should sign up before Tuesday morning.
And one of the county's vote centers is a football stadium. Allegiant Stadium serves again as an official Clark County vote center on Election Day, the Raiders said, with voters there receiving a limited-edition 'I Voted at Allegiant Stadium' sticker. Polls run 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday — and anyone standing in line at 7 p.m. still votes. Between the free buses, the discount codes and 136 centers, the valley has run out of logistical excuses.
