John Washington III Asks Who Gave Government the Right to Speak for Him and His Family Without Consent (Las Vegas Strip News)

John Washington III, a 2028 presidential candidate, asked who gave the United States government and every state government the right to speak for him and his family without his consent. He wrote that the Declaration of Independence says governments get their just powers from the consent of the governed, and he asked when he gave his consent and when his family gave theirs.

John Washington III argued that if a group makes rules for themselves, that agreement speaks for that group, not for everyone else, and he compared the claim to a mafia family walking into another home and declaring that everyone in it belongs to them. He wrote that being born under a government does not mean he personally agreed to every decision it makes, and that his children and he have constitutional rights.

He wrote that government must not confuse legal authority with unlimited control. If officials claim to speak for him, he wrote, they should show where he agreed, show how they are representing the people, and answer to the people whose lives their decisions affect. He closed by saying that is the ground he is standing on.
