Judge Orders a Buffer at the Desert Breeze Polling Site After Voter Intimidation Complaints
A judge granted the ACLU of Nevada an emergency order Friday limiting a bullhorn-wielding protester at the Desert Breeze early voting site and requiring Clark County to keep electioneering away from the site's only pathway.

A judge on Friday issued an emergency temporary restraining order aimed at voter intimidation outside the early voting site at Desert Breeze Community Center, on Spring Mountain Road and Durango Drive, KTNV Channel 13 reported. The ACLU of Nevada asked for the order late Thursday after its observers filmed a woman with a bullhorn confronting voters, and the court granted it by Friday morning.
According to KTNV, the woman was recorded shouting insults at voters starting Oct. 17, the first day of early voting. The order bars her from harassing or intimidating voters at Desert Breeze, following them while recording, or talking to them as they enter or leave the polling place, and it bars physical assault or threats of harm at any time during the 2026 election.
Part of the order also requires Clark County to bar electioneering within 100 feet of what the court described as the narrow, single pathway required to access the voting area at Desert Breeze Community Center. Early voting in Clark County closed Friday, and Election Day voting follows on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
