NDOT Lane Closures Start Nov. 1 on US 95, Rainbow Boulevard and the Airport Connector
A fresh batch of overnight lane reductions begins Sunday night across the valley — on US 95/I-11 in the northwest, on Rainbow Boulevard, and on the Airport Connector near Harry Reid International.
Drivers across Las Vegas should plan for slower overnight drives starting Sunday night, Nov. 1. The Nevada Department of Transportation announced a batch of road projects on Friday, Oct. 30, and most of the new lane reductions begin Sunday night, FOX5 reported. On US 95/I-11 in the northwest valley, a long-running pavement project between Martin Luther King Boulevard and West Lake Mead Boulevard will intermittently drop traffic to two lanes from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday nights through Friday mornings — a schedule NDOT says runs through Dec. 1, 2027 — and southbound lanes from Lake Mead Boulevard to Rainbow Boulevard, including HOV lanes, are reduced nightly Nov. 1 through Nov. 6.
Around the I-11 SafeTech Corridor, the northbound off-ramp to Decatur Boulevard is closed around the clock through mid-November, with drivers directed to the northbound Valley View Boulevard off-ramp, and lanes are also reduced on the southbound off-ramps to Decatur and Valley View. On Rainbow Boulevard, between Desert Inn Road and Silverstream Avenue, paving will intermittently narrow the road to one lane in each direction from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sunday nights through Friday mornings, Nov. 1 through Nov. 20, with no work on Friday or Saturday nights.
Near the airport, paving runs 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. on the same Sunday-to-Friday pattern, Nov. 1 through Nov. 20, with intermittent closures of the two left lanes on the southbound Airport Connector and possible lane reductions or full closures on its ramps to eastbound I-215, Warm Springs Road and Hidden Well Road/westbound I-215.
