Golden Knights at Penguins on Tuesday: A Rested Pittsburgh Team, a Special Uniform Debut, and No Rest for Vegas
The back-to-back ends in Pittsburgh at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+. The Penguins have had two days off, get Justin Brazeau back for his season debut, and will wear their new Hometown Remix uniforms for the first time — against a Vegas team that played into a shootout in Boston on Monday night.

The Vegas Golden Knights finish their back-to-back on Tuesday night at PPG Paints Arena against the Pittsburgh Penguins, with puck drop at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+. Vegas, 9-5-2 after Monday's shootout loss in Boston, draws the schedule's harder half of the bargain: the Penguins, 5-7-2, have been rested for two days, while the Knights played past regulation on Monday and traveled overnight.
Pittsburgh also gets a piece back. Winger Justin Brazeau, sidelined since early October with a lower-body injury, has been cleared to make his season debut against Vegas, according to NHL.com reporting read by the desk. And the night carries a fashion footnote the home crowd will notice: the Penguins, the NHL and Fanatics unveiled the club's Hometown Remix uniform collection on Monday, and Pittsburgh will wear the new look for the first time on Tuesday against the Golden Knights — the first of ten scheduled Hometown Remix games this season.
The recent form cuts both ways. The teams met earlier this season on Pittsburgh's west-coast trip, a game that did not go well for the Penguins — but Vegas has won just one of five since then, and the oddsmakers read Tuesday as close to a pick-'em with an over/under of 6.5. Jack Eichel carried 20 points in 15 games into Monday's game, and Vegas entered the trip averaging 3.5 goals a game, seventh in the league. Tuesday's file starts in Pittsburgh; the final files in the next cycle after the Knights' trip ends.
