Las Vegas Weather: Sunday Rain at 95 Percent, Washes Still Running, and the Flood Watch Holds Until Monday (Las Vegas Strip News)

Sunday is the valley's last wet day in this pattern. The station's live weather feed, sourced from Open-Meteo, read 58.8 degrees — feeling like 57.9 — mid-morning Sunday, and it keeps the day's precipitation chance at 95 percent with a high of 64.2 degrees and a low of 50.7. The flood watch for the Henderson and Lake Las Vegas area remains in effect until 4 a.m. Monday, on ground that has taken rain since Friday's flash flooding and water rescues in the southeast valley.

Saturday evening's thunderstorms added to the totals: the National Weather Service warned for central and northwestern Clark County, including North Las Vegas, Centennial Hills, Lone Mountain, Aliante and Summerlin, and rain gauges recorded between a quarter inch and an inch across the warned area before the warnings expired later Saturday evening. Washes and low-water crossings can still carry water Sunday even where the rain has eased, and drivers should never cross flowing water.

The pattern then clears for the week. The feed turns Monday dry at 70 degrees with a 1 percent rain chance, Election Day Tuesday is dry at 72.6, and the rest of the week stays dry and mild, with highs between 68.3 and 73.7 degrees through Saturday. Sunday is also the valley's first full day on standard time after the clocks fell back overnight, so sunset comes early for the Día de los Muertos festivals running into the evening.
